Job Title: Yard Driver

Reports to: Bus Shop Director

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Hours: Full-time (30 hours or more per week)

Location: Houston- Telephone

The Yard Driver will assist in bus shop duties. The main responsibilities will consist of moving bus units that have arrived from their destinations and other bus units scheduled for departure on that day. Other duties will be performing inspections on bus units that are scheduled for departures and supervising the bus wash employees.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

• Move the bus unit from the yard to Diesel Station for a fill-up.
• Perform the duties of filling the bus unit tank with diesel as instructed by the supervisor.
• Move the diesel-filled bus units to the designated bay for washing or preventative maintenance duties.
• Conduct a walk-around inspection of the washed bus units prior to parking them in the yard.
• Instruct bus washers to perform any corrected task if needed. (Inside and outside)
• Supervise and hand over materials needed to the bus washers to perform the cleaning tasks.
• Organize and submit the “Bus washer bonus” report sheets to the HR department for payroll processing.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by the Bus Terminal Supervisor.

Job Requirements

• All applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
• All applicants must have a driving record without reckless or careless driving conviction, revocations, suspensions, or restrictions of license in the past five years.
• Applicants must be at least 22 years of age on the date of the application.
• Must have a “clear” Motor Vehicle Record (Insurance Carrier Requirement)
• No driving convictions related to speeding and alcohol or illegal drugs (including driving under the influence and/or driving while intoxicated) within the last five years.
• Must be able to deal with passengers and vendors. Needs to be courteous and able to handle situations that occur in the normal course of customer service.
• Must be able to document, maintain and submit required expense forms, receipts, logbooks, and other paperwork to proper departments.
• Must be able to communicate with Bus Shop Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, and compliance clerks.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred

This position as hired by Autobuses Ejecutivos, LLC will be placed on a 90 day probationary period starting the date of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
