Billing Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Administrator to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing, accounts receivable management, and client communication. Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of billing processes using various accounting software and billing systems, including data entry, invoice generation, and account reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations during all financial transactions and reporting activities
• Utilize tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other financial software to process accounts receivable and payable accurately
• Perform detailed Excel data analysis, including creating formulas and spreadsheets for account analysis and reporting purposes
• Conduct collections account management by following up on overdue invoices and resolving billing discrepancies with clients
• Reconcile accounts receivable records regularly to maintain accurate financial statements and support audit readiness
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment issues, and account status via phone or email while maintaining professional phone etiquette

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting principles
• Familiarity with accounting systems like Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with financial software such as QuickBooks or Quicken is highly desirable
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and SOX compliance requirements for financial reporting and internal controls
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis, formulas, and spreadsheets
• Experience managing accounts receivable/payable processes along with collections account management skills
• Excellent attention to detail for data entry accuracy and account reconciliation tasks
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration; ability to demonstrate professionalism in phone etiquette
• Ability to perform math accurately using 10 key typing skills; understanding of basic financial concepts such as debits & credits is essential

Family & Industrial Medical Center is different from other Urgent Care centers. We are a Family Practice office able to meet all your primary care needs. We specialize in Family Medicine, Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine with Board Certified Primary Care Practitioners on staff.

Pay: $25.55 - $30.77 per hour
