Billing Analyst

New York, NY (4 Days Onsite)

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist / Billing Analyst to join its Finance Operations team. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting or finance professional with AR, billing, collections, or accounting experience who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and improving processes.

Responsibilites

• Manage customer outreach, invoice follow-up, and aged receivables.
• Review invoices, account balances, payments, and billing activity.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Partner with Billing, Finance, Operations, and customers to resolve issues.
• Analyze billing activity across multiple business entities.
• Prepare AR, collections, and financial reports using Excel.
• Support credit checks, risk-management activities, and reporting initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate billing and collections processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and finance operations projects.

Required Experience

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, Accounting, or Finance Operations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Strong accounting/finance fundamentals are most important.

Nice To Have Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Salesforce and/or Zuora experience is a plus.
• Telecommunications Industry Experience
