Billing Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Billing Analyst is responsible for collecting, posting, and managing billing paperwork to ensure accurate and timely accounting and submittal to customer.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews and understands customer contracts to assure billing and job accounting are in compliance.
• Processes incoming field reports weekly, researches and resolves issues and discrepancies, and verifies proper job cost coding of revenue, payroll, and other expense.
• Prices and verifies accuracy of all billings before posting in accounting software and routing to customer for approvals.
• Processes customer receipts and monitors AR aging balances.
• Provides weekly reporting to field supervisors and management team.
• Understands and executes account reconciliations.
• Communicates directly with customers, field supervisors, and foreman.
• Assists with other accounting functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• Associate’s degree in accounting/relevant field required. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a billing, payables, or similar accounting role.
• Construction accounting experience preferred.
• Ability to work successfully in a deadline-drive environment with frequent interruptions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
• Viewpoint of similar software experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Role is full-time, on-site in Waunakee, WI office
