Job Title: Billing Estimator – Interior Design

Job Summary

The Billing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, quantity take-offs, billing schedules, and client invoices for interior design projects. The role works closely with designers, procurement teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure budgets, quotations, and billing processes are managed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for interior fit-out and design projects.
• Analyze design drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material and labor costs.
• Create client quotations, budgets, and project cost reports.
• Prepare running bills, final bills, and vendor payment statements.
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams to track material consumption and project costs.
• Verify subcontractor and vendor invoices against approved rates and quantities.
• Monitor project budgets and highlight cost variances.
• Maintain billing records, cost databases, and estimation documentation.
• Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Support project management teams with cost control and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in interior design estimation, project billing, or quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and fit-out works.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software.
• Ability to read and interpret interior design drawings and layouts.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BOQ preparation and project costing.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or related design software.
• Familiarity with ERP, billing, and project management systems.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
