Billing Assistant

We are looking for a full-time Billing Office Assistant to join our growing company. This position is based in a fast-paced physical therapy companies billing and management office in Redding, CA.

Schedule: 40 hours/week. Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour DOE
Position Availability: Immediately

Duties Include:

• Answering and transferring incoming calls using a multi-line telephone system
• Maintaining professional phone etiquette
• Scanning, faxing, filing, and organizing documents
• Typing and general data entry
• Assisting with medical billing and insurance-related tasks
• Supporting general office and administrative duties
• Learning and utilizing company software and systems

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
• Familiarity with general office administrative duties
• Comfortable using multi-line phone systems, fax machines, scanners, and other office equipment
• Medical front office experience preferred
• Medical insurance knowledge preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
• Friendly, personable, and professional
• Reliable and organized
• Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced office
• Strong attention to detail
• Typing certificate required
