Billing Associate

Whimsy intermodal is a domestic drayage company handling all container traffic international and domestic through the Chicago & Kansas City rails to and from points in the Midwest and beyond. Whimsy is the choice to provide a safe and reliable service for all import & export containers between the central region of the USA and all global markets.

Duties

• Verify transactions comply with company policies and procedures
• Receive and verify carrier invoices for customer deliveries
• Collaborate with other internal departments to process and troubleshoot billing issues
• Maintaining proactive relationships with railway customers to ensure support of existing and new customer-base
• Ensuring fright invoices are transferred, audited, and paid correctly
• Conducting internal status reviews with the business to ensure services are being performed in accordance with company guidelines
• Proof prices of different charges from various railway customers

Key Qualifications

• Exceptional organization skills
• Computer literate: Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience managing railway customer invoices preferred
• Highly analytical, effective communicator, and graceful problem-solver
• Bachelor's degree and finance experience is preferred
• TMS system preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
