The Opportunity: Part time Billing Clerk (Private) – start as soon as possible.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be an integral part of our accounts department. We are recruiting for a part time Private Billing Clerk to work 21 hours per week to include Mondays.

After initial training, which would take place in the North Street office and/or by Teams, hybrid working would be considered.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare privately funded bills as and when required and review on a monthly basis.

· Prepare regular billing statements for private clients.

· Prepare Legal Help bills and monthly Report Form.

· Assist with the preparation of Legal Aid bills as and when required.

· Deal with billing queries and process card payments.

· Conduct analysis of billing discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

· Any other duties which are compatible with the role of Billing Clerk as directed by the Head of Billing, Practice Manager or the partners.

Essential Criteria:

· Proven experience in an accounts role.

· Excellent analytical skills to assess financial data and identify discrepancies.

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT Skills.

· Strong data entry skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation.

· A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria:

· Experience with case management systems

· Experience in a billing environment

· Experience with legal aid billing
