Billing Coordinator !

OVERVIEW

The Billing Coordinator I is responsible for supporting the firm’s day-to-day billing operations. This position assists with invoice preparation and distribution, accounts receivable, some accounts payable, and responds to routine billing requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform data entry with high accuracy; enter client costs into billing software.
• Process and coordinate monthly client billing and invoicing activities.
• Review client billing information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client specific billing requirements.
• Review and process attorney time, expenses and other billable charges.
• Work with attorneys and billing personnel to resolve billing questions, discrepancies, and invoice issues.
• Monitor billing deadlines and ensure invoices are processed and distributed timely.
• Respond to billing related requests that come through the department email account
• Monitor billing attorney WIP and distribute monthly report to assigned billing attorneys for review.
• Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Accounting experience is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Detail oriented, with the ability to solve problems independently.
• Collaborative approach, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
