Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections management
• Perform detailed account analysis, reconciliation, and journal entries using accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems
• Maintain accurate billing records by entering data into billing software and spreadsheets with precision and efficiency
• Conduct Excel data analysis using formulas to identify discrepancies, trends, or errors in billing data
• Support revenue cycle management by processing customer payments, managing collections accounts, and performing credit analysis when needed
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams through clear communication to resolve billing issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls during all financial activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on billing, accounts receivable, or collections management
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation
• Proficiency with financial software including QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems
• Skilled in Excel data analysis, including the use of formulas and spreadsheets for reporting purposes
• Familiarity with billing software and financial systems used in public accounting or corporate finance environments
• Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills to identify discrepancies or errors quickly
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Knowledge of technical accounting standards such as GAAP and SOX compliance principles
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy in data entry and account management
