Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit client RA bills as per project progress and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and verify subcontractor/vendor bills based on actual work executed at site.
• Take and verify site measurements and maintain proper measurement records.
• Prepare and maintain BOQ, quantity sheets, rate analysis, and reconciliation statements.
• Check quantities against approved drawings, BOQ, and work orders.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers, QS, and Accounts team for billing-related matters.
• Prepare measurement sheets, abstracts, and supporting documents for client billing.
• Monitor work progress and ensure timely submission of bills.
• Identify variations, extra items, deviations, and additional works and maintain proper documentation.
• Assist in preparation and submission of variation claims and extra-item bills.
• Verify deductions, recoveries, retention, advances, taxes, and other contractual adjustments in bills.
• Maintain records of certified bills, pending bills, payments, and outstanding amounts.
• Coordinate with clients/consultants for bill certification and clarification of billing issues.
• Ensure all billing documents are properly maintained and readily available for audits and management review.
• Support project commercial activities and cost monitoring.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil construction billing and quantity surveying.
• Good understanding of BOQ, rate analysis, measurements, and quantity estimation.
• Knowledge of RA Bills, subcontractor bills, variation claims, and reconciliation.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet billing deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with experience in EPC / infrastructure / civil construction projects will be preferred.
• Should have hands-on experience in client billing and subcontractor billing.
• Should be comfortable working at project/site locations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing and documentation.
