Billing Engineer

Aquaaworld has spent 28 years designing and building swimming pools, water features, MEP and landscapes across Hyderabad and Chennai. We work with leading architects, developers and private homeowners, and we partner with European brands.

The role
You make sure every piece of work we complete is measured, certified and billed on time. You are the link between site, client and accounts, and you are responsible for getting completed work into invoices.

What you'll do

• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings for tenders and new projects
• Take joint measurements on site with site engineers and client representatives
• Prepare RA bills, final bills and measurement sheets, and get them certified by clients and consultants
• Track variations, extra items and deviations against the contract, and get them approved and billed
• Maintain a live register of every scope showing work done, billed, certified and paid
• Raise invoices with accounts and follow up on certification and payment with client teams
• Reconcile materials consumed against billed quantities
• Prepare a weekly billing status report covering unbilled work, pending certifications and outstanding payments

What we're looking for

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical or a related field
• Strong in quantity estimation, BOQ preparation and reading drawings
• Working knowledge of IS measurement standards and standard billing practices
• Good with Excel; AutoCAD is a plus
• Comfortable on site and confident following up with clients for certification
• Detail-oriented, organised, and persistent

• Days from work completion to invoice raised
• Value of completed but unbilled work, kept as low as possible
• Billing accuracy, with as few client rejections and revisions as possible
• Variation orders approved and billed
