Billing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and structural drawings and ensure proper execution at the site.
• Conduct site inspections, feasibility checks, and material estimations.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Measurement Books (MB), and quantity calculations.
• Verify and process Running Account (RA) bills submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare client bills, cost estimates, material reconciliation reports, and daily site reports.
• Monitor project progress, material usage, and construction quality.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Manage documentation for municipal approvals, inspections, and statutory compliance.
• Ensure construction activities comply with applicable IS codes, building regulations, and safety standards.
• Assist in contractor rate analysis, tender documentation, and project cost control.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

• 35 years of relevant experience in site engineering, billing, and quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural drawings, and civil engineering practices.
• Experience preparing BOQs, RA bills, Measurement Books (MB), and client billing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel, including advanced formulas and billing templates.
• Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera is preferred.
• Understanding of contractor bill verification, material reconciliation, and rate analysis.
• Knowledge of municipal approvals, building regulations, and relevant IS codes.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage site activities and meet project deadlines.
