Billing Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities of a Billing Engineer

1. Quantity Calculation: Calculate quantities of civil, structural, and finishing works as per approved drawings.

2. Bill Preparation: Prepare contractor bills, Running Account (RA) bills, and final bills based on actual work completed.

3. Measurement Verification: Verify site measurements and quantities executed before processing bills.

4. BOQ Management: Prepare and maintain the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and compare actual quantities with BOQ provisions.

5. Rate Analysis: Prepare rate analysis for extra items, additional works, and non-BOQ items.

6. Drawing Coordination: Review drawings and revisions to ensure accurate quantity calculations and billing.

7. Contractor Billing: Check contractor-submitted bills, verify work done, and recommend payments as per contract terms.

8. Cost Monitoring: Track project costs, identify quantity variations, and report potential budget overruns.

9. Extra Item & Variation Management: Maintain records of deviations, extra items, and changes in scope.

10. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain measurement sheets, bills, reconciliation statements, and billing records.

11. Material Reconciliation: Verify consumption of cement, steel, concrete, and other materials against theoretical quantities.

12. Coordination: Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, contractors, and the accounts department for bill approval and payment processing.

Pay: ₹329,000.00 - ₹1,430,000.00 per year
