Job Description Billing Engineer (MEP / Plumbing & Fire Fighting)

Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Billing Engineer to manage project billing activities for Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and MEP works. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, client billing, subcontractor billing, and project documentation while ensuring accuracy and timely submission of bills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) Bills and Final Bills.
• Verify site measurements and quantities as per drawings and BOQ.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and reconciliation statements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Clients for bill approvals.
• Prepare and certify subcontractor bills.
• Monitor project quantities, extra items, and variation orders.
• Maintain billing records, measurement books (MB), and project documentation.
• Assist in project cost control and budget monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and billing procedures.
• Follow up on bill approvals and payment status.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of BOQ Preparation & Quantity Surveying.
• Expertise in Client Billing, Contractor Billing & RA Bills.
• Knowledge of Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and MEP Projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for quantity verification.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
• Experience with ERP/Billing Software.
• Understanding of Contracts, Rate Analysis, and Cost Control.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 26 years in Billing Engineering, preferably in MEP, Plumbing, or Fire Fighting projects.
