Duty Timing: Rotational Shifts 7am-4pm 10am-7pm 12pm-9pm

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Hospital Insurance Cum Billing Executive to handle both Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) billing, insurance coordination, claim processing, and patient billing support.

Qualification

• Any Degree or B.Com is preferred.
• Hospital billing, medical insurance, or healthcare administration certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience in hospital IP/OP billing and insurance claims is preferred.
• Freshers with relevant qualifications and good communication skills may also apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. OP Billing (Outpatient)

• Prepare and process outpatient bills accurately.
• Generate bills for consultations, investigations, procedures, and other services.
• Collect payments through cash, card, UPI, and other approved payment methods.
• Verify patient details and billing information.
• Handle billing enquiries and coordinate with the OP department.

2. IP Billing (Inpatient)

• Prepare and maintain inpatient billing records.
• Monitor patient bills, including consultation charges, investigations, procedures, pharmacy, and other services.
• Verify charges and ensure accurate bill preparation.
• Coordinate with wards, nursing staff, pharmacy, and other departments for billing updates.
• Prepare final bills at the time of patient discharge.

3. Insurance and TPA Coordination

• Verify patient insurance details and policy documents.
• Coordinate for cashless pre-authorisation and approval.
• Check insurance eligibility, coverage, and policy limits.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims with the required supporting documents.
• Follow up with insurance companies and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) regarding claim approvals and settlements.
• Assist with query resolution, claim discrepancies, and rejected claims.
• Maintain insurance records and track pending claims.

4. General Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate billing and insurance documentation.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient and financial information.
• Coordinate with the Finance and Accounts departments for billing reconciliation.
• Follow hospital billing policies and standard operating procedures.
• Provide courteous support to patients and their families.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of hospital IP and OP billing procedures.
• Understanding of health insurance, cashless claims, and TPA processes.
• Basic computer knowledge and MS Excel skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts.
