Billing Incharge

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily billing operations for OPD, IPD, emergency, and diagnostic services.
• Ensure accurate billing of consultations, procedures, investigations, medicines, consumables, and other hospital services.
• Monitor patient admissions, interim bills, final bills, and discharge billing.
• Handle cash, card, UPI, credit billing, refunds, and billing adjustments as per hospital policy.
• Coordinate with the TPA, insurance, and corporate billing teams for cashless and reimbursement cases.
• Verify billing rates, discounts, package charges, and approvals as per hospital guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of bills and prevent revenue leakage.
• Manage billing staff, duty rosters, training, and performance monitoring.
• Resolve patient billing queries and complaints professionally.
• Coordinate with the accounts and finance departments for daily cash reconciliation and billing reports.
• Monitor pending bills, outstanding payments, credit bills, and unbilled services.
• Maintain billing records, reports, and documentation for internal audits and compliance.
• Ensure proper use of hospital information systems (HIS/HMS) and adherence to billing SOPs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly billing and collection reports for management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of hospital billing processes and revenue cycle management.
• Experience in OPD, IPD, discharge billing, and insurance/TPA billing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and hospital billing software/HIS.
• Good numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• Team management and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and patient-handling skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per hour
