Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process invoices using various accounting software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
• Perform account reconciliation tasks including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure data accuracy.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable functions with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring timely collections and payments.
• Conduct journal entries and account analysis to support month-end closing activities in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
• Handle confidential financial information with integrity while maintaining strict adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
• Utilize Excel data analysis skills for reporting, audit preparation, and identifying discrepancies or trends within financial data sets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve billing issues promptly and provide excellent customer service.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills including data analysis and spreadsheet management.
• Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet management.
• Experience with governmental accounting standards as well as corporate accounting practices aligned with GAAP.
• Ability to handle accounts receivable management tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of numeracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements related to financial controls and reporting procedures.
• Excellent communication skills paired with customer service orientation to effectively address inquiries related to billing processes.

Pay: $125.87 - $131.16 per hour
