About Us

We are a growing medical billing company specializing in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) billing. Our primary focus is Medicaid and Medicare billing, including Medicare Advantage and Medicare HMO plans, with a smaller percentage of commercial insurance billing.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-driven, highly organized, and capable of managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and follow up on medical, dental, and behavioral health insurance claims.
• Research, analyze, and resolve claim denials and billing issues.
• Verify patient eligibility and review claim status through payer portals.
• Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and unpaid claims.
• Identify billing discrepancies and coordinate resolution efforts.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing documentation.
• Meet productivity and quality standards while working independently.
• Communicate professionally with providers, payers, and internal team members.
• Work with limited supervision

Required Qualifications

• Experience in medical, dental, and/or behavioral health billing.
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing requirements.
• Experience working insurance denials, appeals, and claim follow-up.
• Ability to effectively navigate multiple payer websites and portals.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW)
• Previous FQHC billing experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid plans.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred.
• DC Department of Behavioral Health billing.

Expected hours: 40 per week
