Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers accurately and in a timely manner
• Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments through appeals and follow-up
• Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances to accounts
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, statements, and payment plans
• Ensure compliance with coding standards including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve documentation and coding discrepancies

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or a related healthcare administrative role
• Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• Experience with insurance claim submission, denial management, and AR follow-up
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance representatives
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
