Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. Trade Winds Transit is a family owned and operated trucking company that has been in business for over 40 years. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate billing processes, managing records, and facilitating efficient collections. The Billing Specialist will work closely with customers to ensure timely and accurate billing.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage customer billing information, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
• Utilize QuickBooks and transportation management software to bill accurately.
• Collaborate with office staff to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
• Conduct collections by following up on outstanding accounts receivable.
• Prepare reports on billing activities, collections, and outstanding balances for management review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in billing.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of billing processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers.
