What You'll Be Doing as a Billing Specialist

• Prepare, review, and process monthly client invoices accurately and efficiently
• Manage the full legal billing cycle, including pre-bills, revisions, and final invoice submission
• Partner directly with attorneys and legal staff to review billing entries and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and submit electronic invoices through client eBilling platforms
• Review time entries, billing rates, and client-specific billing guidelines
• Monitor billing deadlines and ensure timely invoice processing
• Research and resolve billing inquiries, adjustments, and rejected invoices
• Maintain accurate client billing records and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to support billing reconciliations and reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, efficiency, and internal processes

What You Bring as a Legal Billing Specialist

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 3 years of legal billing experience required
• Experience working in a law firm or legal services environment strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with electronic billing and client billing guidelines
• Familiarity with legal billing software and eBilling platforms
• Strong understanding of timekeeping, invoice preparation, and billing adjustments
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with attorneys
• Proactive, dependable, and collaborative personality
