This position is integral to our practice and requires working closely with patients, providers, nurses, and administrative staff.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic's financial processes by accurately and efficiently handling billing tasks related to patient accounts and insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

· Hands-on experience submitting electronic medical claims and correcting/rebilling claims as needed.

· Experience reviewing and working insurance denials, including researching denial reasons, correcting errors, submitting appeals, and following up on outstanding claims.

· Experience posting insurance payments and adjustments from EOBs/ERAs into an EMR or practice management system.

· Strong accounts receivable (AR) experience, including reviewing aging reports, identifying outstanding balances, and following up on unpaid or underpaid claims.

· Experience researching payment discrepancies, contractual adjustments, recoupments, and other account issues.

· Experience reconciling insurance payments and patient account balances.

· Experience generating and analyzing billing reports, identifying trends, and recognizing recurring denial reasons or reimbursement issues.

· Strong understanding of the medical revenue cycle, from claim submission through payment posting and resolution of outstanding balances.

· Experience with specialty medical practices or complex insurance billing.

· Strong Excel skills and the ability to organize, interpret, and analyze billing data.

· Experience with EMRs, practice management systems, and electronic claims platforms.

· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and personal accountability.

· Ability to work remotely while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and timely follow-through.

· Basic understanding of insurance authorization processes (preferred)

· Financial/Billing experience (Required)

· Bilingual in Spanish (Highly preferred)
