BIM Coordinator

Model Coordination:

-          Develop, manage, and update ELV subsystem models using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).

-          Coordinate ELV models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure spatial compliance.

-          Conduct clash detection and resolution meetings with relevant stakeholders.

Documentation & Standards:

-          Ensure ELV designs adhere to project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), client standards, and local regulations.

-          Generate shop drawings, as-built models, and other deliverables from BIM models.

-          Maintain version control and documentation of ELV BIM files.

Collaboration & Communication:

-          Liaise with ELV engineers, system integrators, and other trades to gather design inputs and resolve modeling issues.

-          Support project teams with BIM-related queries and training.

-          Participate in coordination meetings and provide BIM updates and reports.

Quality Assurance:

-          Perform regular audits of ELV models to ensure accuracy and compliance.

-          Validate model content against design intent and specifications.

Technology & Innovation:

-          Explore and implement BIM tools and workflows to improve ELV design and coordination efficiency.

-          Support integration of ELV models into 4D/5D BIM for construction sequencing and cost estimation.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field.

·       Minimum 3–5 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably with ELV systems background or MEPFS

·       Proficiency in BIM software: Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360.

·       Familiarity with ELV systems and standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, NFPA, BICSI).

·       Strong understanding of construction processes and multidisciplinary coordination.

·       Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
