BIM Coordinator

About the role

The candidate will be based on-site at the project in Singapore and is expected to be detail-oriented with extensive previous experience working as a BIM coordinator and/or manager. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to relate to and connect with the team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in their ability.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage 3D/4D/5D BIM models and implementations for civil & road (linear) infrastructure projects
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Civil & Structural (C&S), Architecture (Archi), and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) to resolve clashes and optimize road alignment
• Coordinate with BIM teams (both on-site and off-site) to fulfil the project deliverable
• Implement client's Employer Information Requirement (EIR) BIM standards and company-specific protocols
• Validate models against as-built surveys and geotechnical reports
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with contractors and designers
• Generate clash detection reports, 4D construction schedules, and progress dashboards
• Assist in managing BIM standards, resources, and application configuration
• Maintain and manage data on the CDE platform and facilitate coordination among all project stakeholders via the CDE platform
• Generate clash reports for all disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP and process) and lead BIM coordination meetings with clients and consultants

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering; Specialist Diploma in BIM would be an advantage
• Minimum 3 years in BIM coordination, preferably in construction/engineering sector
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Linear modelling software such as Bentley Suites OpenBuildings, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, Autodesk Revit, ACC (Autodesk Forma), AutoCAD, Navisworks and other similar BIM software
• Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge in BIM management as well as construction management
• Good knowledge in BIM visualisation and simulation applications
• Strong organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills; self-driven, resourceful and a team player
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
• Able to communicate with Chinese counterparts, or have experience in handling thermal power plant projects will be a bonus
