BIM Coordinator / Modeler

Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled HVAC, Piping and Plumbing BIM Modelers and also BIM Coordinators to join our team. As a BIM Modeler, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models and drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and NavisWorks. Your expertise in building information modeling (BIM) will be crucial in supporting the design and construction process.

Duties:

• Develop detailed 3D models and drawings based on project specifications
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of design intent
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and NavisWorks to create and modify models
• Incorporate data from various sources into the BIM model, including mechanical designs, schematics, and construction documents
• Perform clash detection analysis to identify potential conflicts or issues in the design
• Generate accurate quantity takeoffs from the BIM model for cost estimation purposes
• Assist in the coordination of construction activities by providing updated models and drawings to the project team
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in BIM technology

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in building information modeling (BIM) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and NavisWorks
• Strong knowledge of drafting techniques and standards
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles is preferred
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in modeling and documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective communication skills to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
