Job Summary

VX Studio Consultancy is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator – Site to support BIM coordination and implementation throughout the construction phase of projects. The successful candidate will coordinate BIM models with site activities, identify and resolve design and construction clashes, and ensure that coordinated information is accurately reflected in the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage BIM models during the construction and site execution stages.
• Review architectural, structural, and MEP models to identify clashes, discrepancies, and coordination issues.
• Conduct regular clash detection and coordinate resolutions with consultants, contractors, and site teams.
• Ensure BIM models are aligned with approved construction drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and BIM teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review shop drawings, coordinated drawings, builders' work drawings, and BIM models for consistency.
• Monitor BIM-related site activities and ensure that construction teams are working in accordance with the latest approved information.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and prepare coordination reports, clash reports, and action trackers.
• Follow up on outstanding coordination issues and ensure timely closure.
• Review and incorporate approved design changes and site modifications into BIM models.
• Support the preparation and updating of As-Built BIM models based on actual site conditions.
• Conduct site inspections to verify model information against actual construction progress.
• Assist project teams in extracting relevant information, drawings, sections, schedules, and quantities from BIM models.
• Ensure proper model version control, document management, and information exchange.
• Maintain BIM standards, naming conventions, model structures, and project protocols.
• Coordinate BIM deliverables in accordance with project requirements and the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Support the implementation of BIM workflows and standards across project teams.
• Identify potential constructability issues through model review and provide coordination feedback.
• Assist with digital construction coordination, sequencing, and visualization when required.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, client requirements, and relevant industry practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, Construction Management, BIM, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant BIM experience, with significant experience working on construction sites.
• Strong experience in BIM coordination for building construction, high-rise, commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary BIM coordination, including Architectural, Structural, and MEP systems.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage.
• Experience with clash detection, model federation, coordination, and issue tracking.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and common construction documentation workflows.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms is preferred.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, technical submittals, and site coordination.
• Experience preparing and updating as-built models based on site conditions.
• Understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), BIM standards, and project information requirements.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and models.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify technical discrepancies.
• Ability to work effectively under project deadlines and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.
