BIM Engineer

Job Summary

The BIM Engineer supports ICT, ELV, and smart systems engineering teams through BIM and CAD modelling. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate digital coordination and high-quality project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Modelling & Documentation

• Develop 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for ICT and ELV systems, including CCTV, Structured Cabling Systems (SCS), BMS, AV, Wi-Fi, and related smart systems.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, cable routing drawings, and as-built documentation packages.
• Manage model federation, clash detection processes, and issue-tracking activities.

BIM Execution & Digital Delivery

• Implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure compliance with project LOD requirements and naming conventions.
• Generate COBie datasets, asset-tagging information, and digital handover models.
• Support IFC export processes, Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, and model version control.

Coordination & Collaboration

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, ICT, and ELV teams to resolve multidisciplinary coordination issues.
• Participate in BIM coordination reviews and clash-resolution workshops.
• Support project digital-delivery standards and BIM compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information and Communications Technology, Computer and Communications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM and CAD modelling within ICT and ELV environments.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM workflows.
• Good understanding of BIM standards, including ISO 19650.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and digital-delivery processes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
