BIM Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Be stationed permanently at the construction site. Responsible for BIM modeling of all MEP disciplines, pipeline coordination & detailed design, clash detection and headroom optimization. Conduct special detailed design for equipment rooms (pump rooms, power distribution rooms, HVAC rooms), including support & hanger design and reserved openings. Deliver construction-ready shop drawings.

2. Attend drawing reviews on site, conduct 3D technical disclosure, guide construction teams on-site. Resolve pipeline conflicts and space constraints arising from site conditions, and update models & drawings synchronously with site changes.

3. Coordinate with construction teams, supervisors, designers and the client. Deliver clash reports, coordinated pipeline drawings, construction details and quantity take-off documents.

4. Track the whole construction process, verify installation of key sections to reduce rework. Prepare as-built BIM models and complete as-built drawing documents at project completion stage.

Job Requirements

1. Be able to stay on-site for long-term residency, adapt to construction site environment and work overtime to meet project schedules.

2. Major in HVAC, water supply & drainage, electrical or other MEP-related disciplines. Minimum 3 years of experience in on-site MEP BIM detailed design. Candidates with experience in clean workshop / factory utility projects are preferred (familiar with pumps, pump piping and MEP installation techniques).

3. Proficient in Revit, CAD and Navisworks. Experience with Magicad and Fuzor is a plus. Independently completed full-project pipeline coordination and on-site implementation.

4. Familiar with MEP construction codes and installation methods. Capable of reading drawings, communicating on-site and proposing optimization solutions promptly for pipeline clashes or space shortages.

5. Strong drawing interpretation and communication skills.
