About the Role

We are an established electrical contracting company working on 33/11 kV substations, HT/LT cabling, internal/external electrification and industrial electrical projects.

We are expanding into industrial building design, MEP engineering, BIM and EPC projects and are looking for an experienced MEP & BIM Manager to establish and lead this new function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design for factories, warehouses, industrial buildings and commercial projects.
• Coordinate Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting design.
• Develop and review MEP drawings, calculations, specifications and BOQs.
• Lead Revit MEP and Navisworks coordination and clash detection.
• Coordinate MEP designs with architecture, structure and site teams.
• Review designs for constructability, cost and site practicality.
• Support estimation, tendering, vendor evaluation and technical procurement.
• Visit project sites and resolve design/construction issues.
• Establish basic company standards for BIM, drawings, calculations and QA/QC.
• Build and mentor the initial MEP/BIM team.
• Support the Director in developing industrial design-and-build/EPC projects.

Required Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in MEP design/project execution.
• Experience with industrial, commercial, factory or warehouse projects preferred.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks/clash detection.
• Practical site/construction experience is essential.
• Experience preparing BOQs, estimates and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of Indian MEP codes and construction practices.
• Ability to manage engineers, consultants, contractors and vendors.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in MEP contracting, industrial projects, EPC companies, building-services consultants or design-and-build companies are preferred.

Experience in all MEP disciplines is not mandatory; strong expertise in one discipline combined with good multidisciplinary coordination experience will be considered.

First-Year Objective

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Establish the MEP/BIM function.
• Build the initial engineering team.
• Develop company MEP/BIM standards.
• Deliver the first coordinated industrial projects.
• Integrate design with our existing electrical contracting and construction operations.
• Help develop the company's capability toward complete industrial design-and-build/EPC.

Compensation

Depending on experience and technical capability, plus performance incentives.
