BIM Engineer – MEP (Mechanical, Plumbing & Electrical)

Position Overview
A leading construction company in Dubai is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Engineer – MEP to join our dynamic team. This role requires strong technical proficiency in Building Information Modeling with a focus on Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical design, coordination, and shop drawing production.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain accurate BIM models for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical systems in accordance with project requirements
• Extract, prepare, and review MEP shop drawings directly from BIM models
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Structural, Facade, and other MEP trades) to ensure seamless integration
• Perform clash detection, analyze conflicts using Navisworks, and propose effective resolutions prior to construction
• Implement and adhere to BIM standards, templates, and protocols relevant to MEP works
• Conduct design reviews and provide constructability feedback on MEP systems
• Support material take-offs, quantity extraction, and technical documentation from BIM models
• Stay updated with the latest BIM tools, MEP technologies, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of BIM coordination experience with strong MEP background
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP), Navisworks, and related BIM tools
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical systems
• Experience in creating coordinated MEP shop drawings derived from BIM Models
• Solid knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and construction methodologies
