BIM Modeler / Drafter

About the role

ANTARA KOH (M) SDN BHD is seeking a talented BIM Modeler / Drafter to join our Engineering Drafting team on a full-time basis, based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating Building Information Modelling (BIM) models and technical drawings that form the foundation of our engineering and construction projects. This position is critical to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all design documentation throughout the project lifecycle, whilst supporting effective collaboration between multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop, update, and manage federated BIM models (Architectural, Structural, MEP) using Autodesk Revit or equivalent BIM software in accordance with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
2. Produce accurate 2D shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction drawings using AutoCAD in line with project specifications and international/local standards
3. Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks or similar tools; report and resolve interdisciplinary clashes in coordination with discipline leads
4. Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to capture and reflect design revisions, RFIs, and site instructions into BIM models and drawings
5. Maintain and update the Common Data Environment (CDE) — ensuring correct file naming, versioning, and document control practices are followed
6. Prepare quantity take-off data and material schedules extracted from BIM models to support procurement and cost control teams
7. Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables for project milestones, client submissions, and authority approvals
8. Support the site team with model-based visualizations, 4D scheduling overlays, and mark-up coordination drawings as required
9. Ensure all BIM outputs comply with applicable standards
10. Participate in BIM coordination meetings, design reviews, and clash resolution workshops on-site and with the project team.

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or a related built environment discipline.
2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on BIM modelling and CAD drafting experience in building or civil construction projects.
3. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (mandatory) and AutoCAD (mandatory); experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection is required.
4. Familiarity with BIM standards and workflows, including BIM Execution Plans, LOD requirements, and model coordination processes.
5. Experience working in a main contractor or subcontractor environment on-site is an advantage.
6. Strong spatial awareness and ability to interpret and cross-reference architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
7. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy and quality control.
8. Good communication and coordination skills — able to liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary teams on-site.
9. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple deliverables under tight construction timelines.
10. Familiarity with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), ProjectWise, or equivalent CDE platforms is an advantage.
11. Basic knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and buildability is highly value
