BIM Modeller

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive, review and verify customer drawings and requirements.
• Prepare supporting details, designs, and/or drawings to meet customer requirements for quotation and tender submissions.
• Extract and export drawings from the BIM model for tender measurement and costing purposes.
• Prepare preliminary drawings for customer projects in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Liaise with relevant PICs on architectural and engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and incorporate Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings into the preliminary and coordinated drawings.
• Follow up with PICs and revise preliminary drawings to reflect layout or design changes issued by clients or consultants.
• Develop BIM models based on updated and coordinated preliminary drawings and continuously revise models to reflect the latest approved information.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and site walks for coordination, verification and model accuracy purposes.
• Extract and export drawings from BIM models for As-Built documentation and submit to clients for approval.
• Assist in the preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals (OMM) for client submission.
• Support Project Managers or Engineers during site visits and prepare As-Built drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Revise and update drawings and BIM models based on design changes, site conditions and instructions from the Team Lead or Senior Draftsperson.
• Support the preparation of shop drawings, job orders, sketches and fabrication or site execution details as assigned.
• Ensure all drawings, models and documentation comply with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ISO 9001 requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related field.
• Proficient in BIM software and able to apply for architectural drawings.
• Must have 2-3 years’ drawing experience involving industrial/construction work.
• Computer application competency and solid skill in handling AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Understanding of architectural, structural and mechanical drawings.
• Strong attention to details, teamwork and able to communicate and coordinate well with all levels of people.
• Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work outstation when required.
• Knowledge of ISO standards will be added advantage.
• Willing to travel and work at Gelang Patah, Johor or other locations as required by the Company.
