BIM Modeller

About the role

You will develop and coordinate the BIM models for our projects, from design through authority submission, tender and construction. You will work closely with our architects and consultants to keep models accurate and in line with LAUD’s BIM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models, including detailing and extracting drawings from the model

• Convert specialist and consultant drawings to BIM Manual standards

• Ensure models comply with the BIM Manual, processes and the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)

• Coordinate model and design changes with consultants (C&S, M&E) and internal teams

• Carry out clash detection and help resolve issues

• Prepare drawings for authority submissions (including CORENET X), tender and construction

• Maintain Revit families, templates and content libraries

• Manage model files, revisions and exchanges on the project Common Data Environment (CDE)

About you

• Specialist Diploma in BIM, or a Diploma in Architecture with BIM training

• 1–2 years of BIM modelling experience in an architectural practice

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, with working knowledge of AutoCAD

• Knowledge of building projects and construction detailing

• Experience with CORENET X or IFC-SG is an advantage

• Good written and spoken communication skills; able to communicate at all levels of the organisation

• Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines and work well in a team
