BIM Operator

JESCO Inc. is seeking a Building Information Model (BIM) Operator within our Mechanical and Electrical Division. This position will report to the Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and development of 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to support construction projects.
• Work closely with Engineering, Project, and Field Management to ensure timely and proper distribution of model data.
• Assist with the Creation and development of 3D models for fabrication of piping systems and production of fabrication documentation.
• Participation in Project Coordination meetings working with other trades, contractors, and design team members.
• Creation of 2D shop drawings, As-Built or Record Drawings, and Project Drawings for Design/Build Construction.
• Investigation of methods to use Building Information Modeling tools and software to support engineering and project management tasks.

Software experience needed

• Proficiency with AutoCAD – 3-5 years of experience is required.
• Proficiency with Revit 2018 and newer – 2-5 years of experience required.
• Experience with AutoCAD Fabrication CADMEP
• Proficiency with Navisworks Manage and Solibri Model Checker.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, photo editing, Dropbox, Outlook.

Knowledge of

• Mechanical Systems drafting and design - Experience drafting/designing for a mechanical contractor or engineering firm. Experience with a mechanical contractor is preferred.
• Architectural and structural construction documentation.
• Division 22 and 23 submittal review.

• Must be able to manage time and multitask.
• Must have good communication skills and work well in a team.
