We're leading the charge in a fast growing NZ industry. We’re looking for a reliable, energetic truck driver/operator to join our team, cruise the city, and keep our customers' bins looking (and smelling) brand new.

The Role

This isn’t your typical truck driver role. You’ll be operating our custom-built wheelie bin cleaning truck, the first of it's kind in New Zealand.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday

Hours: Approx. 40 hours (can range from 35-45 hours week to week, depending on demand).

Standard Shift: 7am - 5pm (this varies depending on demand). Some days require an early start (6am), or a later finish (7pm), so a flexible 'get it done' attitude is key.

The Vibe: Upbeat, flexible, and hands-on. We work hard to deliver great results, but we keep things light and fun along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing

Cruising the City: Navigating Christchurch, Lincoln & Rolleston servicing residential and commercial wheelie bins.

Blasting Bins: Take charge of our high-pressure cleaning system to obliterate grime, odour and bin juice. We pride ourselves on the best clean in the market, so your high standards will be the secret to our success.

Route & CRM Management: Use scheduling software + maps to navigate to jobs, plan cleaning routes, communicate with customers & update customer schedules.

Maintenance & Health & Safety: You'll maintain all equipment and ensure we maintain a high-level of health and safety in all operations, keeping yourself and the public safe.

Building Relationships: Being the face of Bin Blast in Christchurch and providing top-tier service to our customer base.

Being a Key Player: Helping us scale as we continue to grow.

What We’re Looking For

Class 2 License: You must have a clean, valid Class 2 license.

Physical Fitness: This is a high-energy role. You’ll need a moderate-to-high level of fitness to handle bins, move efficiently between stops, and jump on and off the truck deck throughout the day.

Reliability: Someone who shows up ready to go and takes pride in their work. We're a small team, so we'll be relying on you!

Independent Work: You'll need to be able to operate independently and look after our assets, including the truck, and all equipment required for the role. This is a role you can take ownership of.

Strong Stomach: You'll clean some pretty nasty bins! You need to have a strong stomach, notably for hand-cleaning of bins, wastewater disposal and the daily clean up of the truck.

Traffic Management Experience: Mobile Operations TTM qualification is advantageous but not required. We'll get you up to speed on TTM (Temporary Traffic Management).
