Driver Helper Bin Puller

Position Summary
The Driver Helper Bin Puller moves waste and recycling bins from designated storage areas to the collection trucks and returns them after pickup. This role helps expedite the collection process. The schedule is Monday through Friday and 2 Saturdays per month, starting at 5 a.m. until the work is done (averaging 10-12 hours per shift).

Essential Duties

• Pull, push, and position garbage and recycling bins at designated collection areas.
• Return empty bins to their assigned storage locations after collection.
• Check bins for damage, overflowing waste, or contamination and report issues to dispatch.
• Follow proper procedures for handling waste and avoiding spills.
• Use required personal protective equipment and follow safety and sanitation rules.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Able to safely push and pull heavy bins and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Able to follow instructions, schedules, and safety procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently.
• Previous custodial, sanitation, or material-handling experience is helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bins weighing up to the employer’s stated limit.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 60.0 per week
