Bindery Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Bindery Operator to join our printing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, finishing, and preparing printed materials with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine operation, paper binding, and quality control will ensure that finished products meet the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of printing technologies and contribute to the production of high-quality print materials for diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain bindery equipment including cutters, folders, collators, saddle stitchers to ensure smooth production flow.
• Perform paper binding tasks such as perfect binding, saddle stitching, folding, trimming, and finishing to produce professional-quality printed materials.
• Interpret production documents accurately to determine specifications for each project, ensuring precise execution.
• Manage machine adjustments and troubleshooting to optimize performance and minimize downtime during production runs.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the finishing process to identify defects or inconsistencies and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols for industrial equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating bindery machinery such as cutters, paper folders, binding machines in a manufacturing or print shop setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to adjust industrial equipment for optimal performance.
• Familiarity with print production processes.
• Ability to interpret complex production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout all stages of bindery finishing.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.64 per hour
