Bio Lab Technician

We are seeking two eligible and competent Bio Lab Technicians to support laboratory operations under the project. The selected candidates will assist with biological sample handling, preparation, testing, laboratory equipment operation, quality control, and recordkeeping in accordance with approved laboratory procedures and the project's requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, label, register, and safely handle biological samples.
• Prepare samples and reagents according to approved laboratory protocols.
• Assist with laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures within the candidate's qualifications and authorized scope of practice.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Maintain laboratory registers, test records, and quality-control documentation.
• Follow biosafety, infection-control, waste-disposal, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with Veterinary Doctors and other project personnel.
• Report discrepancies, damaged samples, equipment issues, and abnormal test observations to the designated supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria

• Relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biological Sciences, or another discipline accepted under the project's eligibility criteria.
• Must meet the project's applicable requirements for Bio Lab Technician eligibility.
• Relevant laboratory experience will be preferred.
• Knowledge of sample handling, laboratory safety, documentation, and quality-control procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and comply with project protocols.
