Bio-Medical R&D Engineer

Position : Biomedical R&D Engineer Location : Andover, MA Duration : 10 + months contract Start Time : 8:00 AM **End Time : 5:00 PM

pay rate-$20-25/hr** Total Hours/week : 42.50[Mon-Fri] Qualifications Experience & Education:

• B.S. in Engineering (BME, ME Preferred) A minimum of 1 year experience working in an engineering lab

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiarity interdisciplinary systems, including electromechanical and electronic systems Familiarity with Solid Works, Lab VIEW, Mat lab and Minitab is a plus. Proficiency in soldering small components and the use of tools like Millimeter, Oscilloscope, power supply etc. a€‹is desirable
• An understanding of PC based tools for testing embedded hardware is desirable

Responsibilities

• The engineer will work with a cross-functional team that develops medical devices.
• This position is characterized by its disciplined quantitative approach to engineering (mechanical and electrical) testing.
• Development and execution of testing protocols: Support exploratory testing to define test equipment, test fixtures, and test methods development; Participate in training, test methods validation, and execution of testing as needed Effective Documentation and communication of test results: Write engineering test reports and route them for approval in DHF.
• Design of experiments activities, including for characterization, prototype testing, failure analysis and qualification.
• Support the deployment and evaluation of integrated systems in pre-clinical and clinical studies
