Biohazard Technician

Overview

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Biohazard Cleaning & Remediation Technicians. In this role, you will handle biohazardous materials and contaminated environments with precision and care, following strict safety protocols.

This position involves the professional cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, and remediation of environments affected by biological hazards, trauma incidents, unattended deaths, crime scenes, bodily fluids, and other potentially hazardous materials.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism, discretion, compassion, and the ability to work in physically and emotionally demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency biohazard situations, including biological spills and contamination incidents
• Perform cleaning and decontamination procedures using specialized equipment and techniques.
• Operate company vehicles safely to transport equipment and personnel to job sites
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and gloves to ensure safety during all tasks
• Conduct asbestos abatement and other hazardous material removal following industry standards
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and carpet cleaning equipment effectively during projects
• Follow strict safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients throughout the restoration process
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including logs of on-call coverage and emergency responses

Skills

• Proven experience in the restoration industry, especially in biohazard cleanup or related fields such as mold remediation or asbestos abatement
• Strong knowledge of safety protocol adherence and proper PPE use in hazardous environments
• Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly and efficiently for on-site assignments
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized cleaning equipment
• Experience with construction or building-related tasks is a plus for handling structural repairs post-restoration
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude under pressure
• On-call availability for emergency response situations at any time of day or night
• Familiarity with respiratory protection gear and other personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary for biohazard work

Pay: $24.92 - $30.01 per hour
