Biology Teacher

NJV School Management Board is seeking a qualified, passionate, and dedicated Biology Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students through interactive and practical learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Biology lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
• Develop engaging lesson plans incorporating theoretical and practical learning.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and practical activities.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and resources during practical sessions.
• Develop worksheets, assignments, quizzes, tests, and other learning materials.
• Assess students through classwork, homework, projects, tests, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, assessments, and academic progress.
• Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
• Encourage students to participate in discussions, experiments, presentations, and group activities.
• Use effective questioning and assessment techniques to check students’ understanding.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and support their academic development.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic progress when required.
• Collaborate with coordinators, HODs, and fellow teachers to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, examinations, and academic activities.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of Biology teaching resources and activities.
• Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies, subject developments, and educational practices.
• Follow all school policies, academic procedures, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Botany, Education, or a relevant field.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong command of Biology concepts and practical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to use technology and digital resources effectively for teaching.
• Candidates with laboratory/practical teaching experience will be preferred.
