About the role

Glory Education & Training Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join our education team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in shaping the scientific understanding and academic development of our students. As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive biology instruction, fostering a passion for the life sciences, and preparing students for academic success. This role is essential to our mission of providing high-quality education and developing informed, scientifically literate individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging biology lessons that align with the established curriculum and educational standards
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and scientific inquiry
• Assess student progress through examinations, assignments, practical work and continuous evaluation, providing constructive feedback
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions safely and effectively, ensuring all students understand experimental procedures and biological concepts
• Develop and utilise a range of teaching materials and resources, including digital tools, to enhance learning outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and support whole-school initiatives
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, attendance and behaviour
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with advances in biology education and teaching methodologies
• Supervise students during co-curricular activities, excursions and school events as required
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and student progress documentation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Biology, Life Sciences or a related field
• Teaching qualification or certification recognised by the relevant educational authorities in Malaysia
• Proven experience teaching biology at secondary or equivalent level
• Strong knowledge of biology curriculum content and current educational best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse learners
• Proficiency in the use of educational technology and learning management systems
• Demonstrated ability to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• Passion for science education and commitment to student development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to school culture
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and practical teaching experience
