Job Title: Biomedical Engineer

Location: Total Garden, Ibadan

Industry: Diagnostics / Medical Laboratory Services

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with Alternating Saturdays

Salary: ₦130,000 per month

About the Role

A reputable diagnostics center located in Total Garden, Ibadan is seeking to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical and laboratory diagnostic equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain diagnostic and laboratory equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration on medical devices
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime
• Ensure all equipment complies with safety and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, repairs, and inspections
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers/vendors for technical support, spare parts, and servicing
• Train laboratory staff on the proper use and handling of equipment
• Support procurement decisions by providing technical evaluations of new equipment
• Ensure availability and functionality of critical diagnostic machines at all times

Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering is compulsory
• Proven work experience as a Biomedical Engineer, preferably in a hospital, laboratory, or diagnostics center
• Strong knowledge of medical diagnostic equipment (e.g., hematology analyzers, chemistry analyzers, ultrasound machines, X-ray machines, etc.)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of biomedical equipment safety standards and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be available to resume immediately
