Biomedical Engineer

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair medical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of medical devices.
• Ensure all medical equipment is functioning safely and efficiently
• Attend equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and service engineers for repairs. Maintain records of equipment maintenance, servicing, and calibration.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of medical equipment in all departments.
• Coordinate with clinical staff regarding equipment requirements and technical issues.
• Provide training to hospital staff on the safe operation of medical equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and report recurring technical problems.
• Maintain an inventory of medical equipment, accessories, and spare parts.
• Coordinate the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and safe use of medical devices.
• Report equipment-related risks, malfunctions, and safety concerns to the concerned authority.
• Coordinate with the purchase department for equipment procurement and replacement.
• Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain equipment warranties, service contracts, and related documents.
• Support hospital accreditation requirements related to medical equipment management.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Biomedical In-charge or Operations Department.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering / Diploma in Biomedical Engineering

• Relevant experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.

• Knowledge of medical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety standards.

• Good technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
