Bioscience Production Technician

About the role

The Bioscience Production Technician is responsible for manufacturing and fulfilling Azora Biosciences products while supporting laboratory operations, quality activities, facility maintenance, and selected R&D and service projects. The role is critical to ensuring products are produced safely, accurately, and on time while supporting the company's continued growth. This role is a permanent part-time role (20-30 hours per week) and involves regular standing, repetitive manual tasks and lifting of items up to 12kg.

Key responsibilities

• Washing and preparing laboratory equipment, including bottles, containers and other reusable labware
• Preparing for and performing production runs of bioscience products, including setting up the lab for production, following worksheets to weigh out materials and measure liquid volumes and dispensing products into packaging
• Performing quality control activities
• Preparing product packaging and labelling
• Booking courier for collections
• Stock checks to ensure raw materials and packaging are available for production including ordering from local and international suppliers
• Monitoring and fulfilling incoming orders including confirmation, packing, shipping and invoicing to both local and international clients

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related field (preferred)
• Experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, production or quality environment (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Take personal responsibility for compliance with health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
