Qualification

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Bioprocess Technology, or related disciplines.

Experience

• Freshers are encouraged to apply.

Role Overview

The Apprentice/Trainee will undergo structured training across various functions of enzyme manufacturing, including Quality Control (QC), Upstream Process (USP), and Downstream Process (DSP). The selected candidate will gain practical exposure to laboratory operations, fermentation technology, enzyme recovery, quality systems, and manufacturing processes while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in routine laboratory testing and quality analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Support microbiological, biochemical, and enzyme activity testing under supervision.
• Assist in media preparation, inoculum development, sterilization, and fermentation operations.
• Learn the operation of laboratory and pilot-scale fermenters.
• Monitor fermentation parameters and maintain production records.
• Assist in enzyme recovery, purification, filtration, centrifugation, and sample handling activities.
• Prepare laboratory reagents, buffers, and process solutions as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation, logbooks, and batch records in accordance with SOPs.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory and production equipment.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and all safety procedures.
• Participate in training programs and continuously develop technical and operational knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and quality objectives.

• Understanding of laboratory techniques and scientific principles.
