About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Blind Fitter / Joiner to join our growing team based in Paisley. This is a full-time position involving the manufacture and installation of made-to-measure blinds for both residential and commercial customers across Glasgow and the West.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Alongside fitting blinds, you'll also be expected to help with the day-to-day running of our workshop. We're looking for someone who is hardworking, takes pride in their work, and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
The ideal candidate will have blind fitting or basic joinery skills, but training can be provided.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble made-to-measure blinds in the workshop.
- Install a variety of blinds to a high standard.
- Carry out accurate measuring and fitting.
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in customers' homes and businesses.
- Assist with general workshop duties, including keeping the workspace clean and organised. Help with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Assist with stock organisation and maintaining a tidy, efficient workshop.
- Work safely, efficiently, and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Previous experience fitting blinds is preferred but not essential for the right candidate. Practical DIY, Joinery or installation experience is an advantage.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Friendly, reliable, and punctual.
- Willing to help with all aspects of the business, no matter how big or small. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
- Full time, permanent contract.
- Company vehicle and tools provided.
- Paid holidays.
- Pension scheme.
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
