Expert Machine Operator – Block Plant

Position Summary

DZ Corporation is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Machine Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of automated concrete block manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in block production, troubleshooting machinery, maintaining product quality standards, and maximizing plant productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated block plant equipment and production systems.
• Set up machinery for daily production schedules and product changeovers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and operational issues.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and production teams.
• Train and mentor less experienced operators as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment, preferably in a concrete block and pavers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Preferred with Columbia and Tiger equipment.
• Ability to read production schedules and quality specifications.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and workplace safety practices.
• Forklift and heavy equipment experience is a plus.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules when required.
