What they need
We’re working with a rapidly growing data center operator with a significant US footprint, delivering large-scale, mission-critical facilities for some of the world’s leading technology companies.
As the business continues to expand its portfolio, they’re investing heavily in the engineering and standardization of their building controls infrastructure. They’re looking for a BMS Controls Engineer with strong Automated Logic (ALC) expertise to help drive the design, programming, commissioning, and optimization of BMS systems across their data centers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Engineer, program, configure, and troubleshoot Automated Logic (ALC) BMS platforms
- Develop and review control logic, Sequence of Operations (SOO), graphics, alarms, trends, and integrations
- Review BMS drawings, controls architecture, points lists, and technical submittals
- Support BMS commissioning, functional testing, startup, and site acceptance
- Troubleshoot complex controls issues across HVAC and critical mechanical systems
- Analyze BMS trend data and controls logic to identify performance and reliability issues
- Support new data center builds, expansions, controls upgrades, and system migrations
- Work with controls vendors, commissioning teams, engineering, and site operations to drive consistent BMS standards
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with the Automated Logic product suite (WebCTRL, OptiFlex etc)
- Experience programming, engineering, or commissioning BMS/DDC systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC controls and mechanical systems
- Ability to interpret Sequence of Operations, controls drawings, wiring diagrams, and points lists
- Experience troubleshooting control logic, BACnet communications, alarms, trends, and field devices
- Data center or other mission-critical environment experience strongly preferred
- Experience across the BMS lifecycle from design and programming through commissioning and ongoing optimization
- Experience with Delta, Divcon, or Ignition is beneficial but not requires
Pay range: This role is offering $140,000 - $160,000 + 20% Bonus
This is a strong opportunity for an ALC-focused controls engineer who wants to move into the data center sector and work at the owner/operator level while remaining deeply involved in the engineering side of BMS.
